Celery Seeds
Salads, sauces, dressings, brines, and dry rubs all use celery seed. It comes in two forms: whole seed and ground. It's a little seed, roughly the size of a poppy seed, with a dark brown colour in its entirety. It turns into a fine, dark greenish-brown powder when ground.
Celery seed is a spice derived from wild celery seeds. Celery seeds, which are noted for adding an earthier, savoury flavour to any meal, are one of the most versatile spices found in India's spice kingdom. The flavour of these seeds is robust, warm, light bitter, light sweet, and astringent.
