Curry Powder
A finely powdered mixture of spices with powerful flavours that are commonly used in Eastern Indian cuisine. Spices including cinnamon, cumin, chiles, cloves, ginger, turmeric, coriander, and pepper can be found in a basic curry powder combination. Curry powder is a mixture of up to 20 spices, herbs, and seeds that is widely used in Indian cookery.
While other combinations are conceivable, cardamom, red chilies, cinnamon, cloves, coriander, cumin, fennel seeds, fenugreek, mace, nutmeg, red and black pepper, poppy and sesame seeds, saffron, tamarind, and turmeric are the most regularly used spices.
The spice blend's colour can range from a bright golden yellow to a warm brown. It has a spicy flavour and a musky scent. Chicken, lamb, beef, and a range of vegetables such as peas, cauliflower, onions, and potatoes are all seasoned with the powder. To help maintain the flavour of curry powder, store it in airtight containers.
